By the way: this most recent China trip was described as some sort of 'cultural exchange' although there have been no reports of what (if anything) that entailed, as the press was refused access during this extravagant taxpayer-funded trip. Ironically enough, she apparently lectured the Chinese about "freedom of the press".

As I say, presidents make choices. Reagan used to spend Christmas in DC so his staff could spend Christmas with their families. GWB used to vacation in Crawford so the Secret Service wouldn't have to establish protocol in a new location. Obama & co., on the other hand, seem to be trying to "get away with" as much as possible while it's still on the public dime (and if there was ever a mismatched idiom, it's Obama and "dime".)

Why? A good article will in fact provide the information that one needs to draw one's own conclusions based on, oh you know facts and figures that substantiate the claim. Once again simply saying $x million dollars was spent on a presidential visit is meaningless. If that's all that is in the article then there is nothing to rebut, no facts to counter, no issues to resolve, nothing to pursue. Provide a link to a report that actually compares current spending to past spending and provides some data to substantiate the claim that the Obama regime is spending excessively, the conversation can start. Until then, it's just a fluff piece designed to create outrage in the ill informed. You bought it, you enjoy your outrage.

And of course you can't understand why the average taxpayer might be miffed that a public servant is sending his dog alone on a federally-funded military aircraft on the taxpayers' dime (although it's been hypothesized that Michelle arranged this so Barack wouldn't eat him). Or that his grifter wife really, really needed those four extra hours away from the preznit, also at considerable expense to taxpayers. For collectivists, they seem perfectly happy living off the toil of others.

How exactly are these "ill informed"? All those news stories are from standard news outlets, and you have yet to factually disprove any of them. Stories like these (along with his inability to do pretty much anything right) help explain his plummeting job approval.
