Social Security Card Needed for Interview or CFO?

Hello,

Does my Filipina fiance need a copy of my Social Security card for her Embassy Interview or CFO? I swear that I saw that requirement somewhere, but I can't find it anymore. I'm with her in Makati, and my SS card is buried in a stack of boxes in a storage locker in Dallas! I don't want to unnecessarily put my buddy through finding it for me.

NO!

Follow the embassy instructions letter for what is required for the visa interview.

As for CFO... never give them your SSN!!!

No. What you might have read before was the suggestion of bringing a copy of your 1040, as one of the proof CFO uses as an evidence that the petitioner is single. In this case, black-out the SSN in all the pages.

I am 56 and have not even seen my SS card since I was 26. But I did get her the 1040s, the W2s and tax tanscripts from the IRS. Am taking no chances on that.

Also I am sending her cert copies of my birth cert. Might as well order 2 since the CFO wants to see a copy, so I am maknig theirs ceritifed too.
