I received notification yesterday that our petition was approved. We want to be proactive with gathering the necessary documents and information once the NVC sends our packet to the embassy.

Is this everything my fiancé will need:

Passport

-Original/official birth certificate

-Evidence of relationship

-Affidavit of support (with accompanying documents)

-2 Passport Photos

-Medical Exam

Oct. 22, 2015: Travelled to my new home :) (In order to get IR-1 Green Card) Expiration date on IR-1/CR-1 Visa - Oct. 29, 2015

Nov 10, 2015: Received Social Security Card

Jan 4, 2016: LPR Green Card arrived.

He'll also need a police report aka a good citizen report. I forget the translation its a official document stating that he's a good citizen of Haiti.

Thanks! I did remember that, just forgot to list it. I get so excited about getting through one step and then it's on to more waiting. My understanding from reading the forums is that you just constantly call NVC for the case number and updates? Is that true?

Nvc should get it by next week and it takes them about a week to send it to the embassy ...PS . Make sure he gets the original extract of his birth certicate ,because the embassy only uses the extract of those papers ( birth certificate ,marriage certificate , divorce and death ).....congratss on your approval and best of luck ......

Don't send the original of NOA1 nor NOA2. Although you may get them back, if you don't also include a copy, they may just keep them. You will need NOA2 to apply for AOS. Just send a copy (front and back) in the packet and have the original with you at the interview, if possible!
