To all the Canadian to US filers -

Sorry if this question has been asked before.

I live in BC and will have to go to Montreal for my interview. (eventually, LOL)

Can I have my medical done at an approved doctor in BC and take it to my interview in Montreal?? Or do I need to have my medical in Montreal??

If I get it done in BC, how long before my interview can I get it done?? Is it good for a specific length of time?

Just curious!

Thanks to all.

Namaste.

Yes you can have your medical done in BC with Dr Cheema and take it to Montreal. I believe they give you the results in a sealed envelope. Just keep it sealed to take to the consulate.

My husband will be doing the same thing :)

I can't remember how long the medical is good for, but you have to wait until you have an interview scheduled in order to make the medical appointment.

6 months. But you cannot have your medical until the interview is booked. Panel physicians in Canada wont book until you have an interview.

Perfect, thanks for the info. Glad I can get the medical done in BC. It's frustrating enough to have to go all the way across the country for the interview, not to mention expensive!! lol

Aye. You can book it in Surrey then spend just a night in Montreal for the interview. Bring the medical to the interview and voila.
