I had a NATURALIZATION interview today, I have GC since 2002, after I apply for citizenship I got married. that was few month ago. my marriage status was divorced for long time, so when I had to sign on the paper that had marriage status (divorced) I really didn't think about anything. I signed. after I finished interview, left the room, I saw my husband waiting for me then I realized my status changed since I applied. Immediately asked desk person to let my officer know that I forgot to mention about new marriage. my officer came out and she seemed little upset and said to me, " seriously you forgot to tell me you got married? are you trying to hide something?" I said no, I was just nervous I really forgot. she said Im not faithful. then gave me decision cannot be made.

I know I was so stupid to forget to tell her about marriage, I even brought my marriage certificate with me.. sad.png

should I wait for the letter to be send to me for their decision or should I get lawyer? can lawyer do anything to help??

thanks..
