Does anyone have experience with a CR1/IR1 being expedited thru the NVC and to the USEM?? The NVC has collected all forms, fees and documents from us and is now forwarding everything to the USEM....since its expedited, apparently the USEM will make the appointment for the interview (and no...we cant go online and make an initial appointment like a K1).

Makes questions are:

Has anyone had experience with this?? if so, how far out was the interview appiontment?? did you have to contact the EmbassY???

And...is it safe to send my wife to Manila for her medical, even without an appointment date, we have pre-regristered at SLEC, she has copies of her expediate from the USEM, approved NOA2, paid receipts for all fees and various emails from the NVC with case number, etc.

Thanks for any input....

Did the embassy tell you that they will make the interview date? That is new. Last two IR/CR-1 that I know of were allowed to schedule their interview, but this was a few months back now.

SLEC asks for copies of a letter/email from NVC or the embassy with your MNL # on it, if you have either you should have no issue with the medical.

We were also expedited through NVC, they asked us to submit all paperworks and pay all fees first then got case complete after a couple of days. NVC told us that since its expedited, they couldnt give us an appointment schedule, and that we should be the one to do it. So as soon as my case got to the embassy, i scheduled an appointment online. You can also call their hotline if you want. Your wife can to ahead and have her med exam done without an appointment letter. She just needs to show an email/letter from NVC that has her case number on it.

Krispykreme...I might be asking an obvious question but how do you know once the case arrives at USEM?? Does the case status change at the CEAC site?? And if I can schedule online...I need to schedule one for her and one for her son?? Or is it the same appointment??? Anybody??

I would try checking the CEAC website to see if that shows that your file is there and ready.

As for scheduling online, after your wife has scheduled her interview there will be an option to schedule a second appointment, that is when you add the appointment for her son.
