Is it it possible to take this seminar before my fiance's VISA arrives? VISA has already been approved and were just waiting for the VISA to arrive.

2014/1/28 Sent I129f application

2014/1/31 USCIS received petition
2014/2/12 I129f approved
2014/2/15 NOA2 hard copy recieved in mail
2014/02/21 MNL case # received, administrative processing
2014/02/25 in transit to US Embassy Manila
2014/02/26 Paid Visa fee and scheduled Interview

2014/03/11 Medical Evaluation

I didnt think it would be this quick. We just gotta wait for the VISA to be mailed to her house and then the CFO seminar.

Yes, your fiance can take the CFO seminar before the Visa arrives, but would have to go back after receiving the passport back from the USEM. The CFO stamp/sticker has to be afixed to a page in the passport.

You don't have to wait to take the CFO class but as it has been said you will have to return with your VISA and passport to get the endorsement applied to the passport. You can go to Cebu, Manila or NAIA Manila airport CFO locations for the endorsement. CFO classes each day fill up fast so I suggest apply early to complete the class.

Do a search on CFO in VJ and you will see many posts associated with this topic including instructions and experiences.

You have 2 options:

~Take the seminar now, and just go back to CFO (with your passport) for the sticker. Downside to this is you have to go back there.

or

~Wait till you have your passport. Take the seminar. Get the certificate and sticker the same day and you never have to see the CFO building again.

I chose the 2nd one. The building is too far and I'm too lazy to go back again. Congrats on getting approved! biggrin.png
