Hi everyone,

I just got this in my E-mail: My PD is OCTOBER 15

On March 7, 2014, we transferred your I130, IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN, to your local USCIS Office for further processing. The new office has jurisdiction over your case and will send you a decision as soon as processing is complete or you will be notified if further information or action is needed. If you move, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address.

I don't understand, maybe you can help me, why my petition got transferred to MY LOCAL USCIS OFFICE. Does this make things different? How much time will it take for them to approve my I-130 petition after the transfer?

Thanks !

it just means it is going to one of the other centers. we applied back in august and were transferred on 2/3 thru the California service center, and then were approved on 2/14. takes about a week to get the letter.
