Hey guys, I just checked my case status and finally saw the word "READY" instead of "AP".

I nearly jumped in excitement until I read the fine print down below

Your case is ready for you to schedule an interview at the U.S. Consulate General in Montreal. If you have already scheduled an interview appointment, please prepare your documents as directed in your appointment letter and appear at the Consulate on the appointed date and time. Otherwise, please wait until you have been notified of your interview appointment. Additional information about how Immigrant Visa interview appointments are scheduled can be found at:http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3731.html

What the heck!!?? Again? Is this normal?

Anyone ever have the same experience or go for another interview? What was this like?

Mine said this for a little bit. I never had a second interview. I think it's normal but not sure.

Please tell me more.

Did it change status from second interview to "issued" or something?

Did you just get an email saying you were approved and to go pick up your passport?

How did the process work?

It doesn't say anything about 2nd interview. But what mine did was it went from ready to Administrative Processing for a few days then to Issued for a week but it wasn't ready for pickup for another week. I would just go by the CSC visa information website. It will eventually say ready for pick up. When you see that, call them. I never received and phone call or an email. So just keep checking that website where you booked the interview.

I wouldn't get overly wrapped up in what the online status says - if you were approved at your interview chances are it just needs an update like the previous poster mentions.

as far as I know it's a blanket statement that says that whether it pertains to your case or not. There are a few things that have misinformation they send you or inform you with..what a game this whole process is..lol

My case was updated today March 10th but the status remains the same.

I still have not heard back from the embassy through email or telephone.

Any ideas, input or suggestions?

The link I clicked above and browsed through, there is nothing stating where or how I can book an interview.. I ended up clicking the montreal interview instructions and it took me to packet 4.. No news there.

I'm thinking about calling the montreal embassy but I don't want to get them agitated.

Sent an email last night asking for more info. My case status again has had the date updated but status remains the same.

Very strange.

Your visa is in final processing. If you have not received it in more than five (5) working days, please go to http://usvisa-info.com/en-CA/selfservice/us_courrier_information to track your courier waybill.
