No, just mark off on the forms that he is a follow-to-join. The K-2 can be applied for up to a year after the K-1 is approved. At the time you apply for the K-2, then the child will need a medical, the DS-160 and all other required documents for the visa application process.

This page says for your consulate that you need the DS-160 and DS-156k > http://santodomingo.usembassy.gov/mobile//immigrant_visas.html

This thread talks about people being delayed without it > http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/475536-sdo-ds-156k-dont-forget-it-at-your-interview/

There is a place on the DS-156k to mark off that the child will follow-to-join, so I would take that to the interview as well > http://www.state.gov/documents/organization/82063.pdf

Also, instructions for a follow-to-join are here > http://santodomingo.usembassy.gov/follow_to_join_procedures.html
