Hey VJ members !

This is what is written in March Visa bulletin :

VISA AVAILABILITY IN THE COMING MONTHS

FAMILY-sponsored categories (potential monthly movement)

Worldwide dates:

F1: Two to four weeks

F2A: No forward movement is expected

F2B: Four to seven weeks

F3: Four to six weeks

F4: Two or three weeks

(F2A) are Spouses and Children of Permanent Residents.

What do you think that means for pending, or new, I-130 petitions ?

Cant wait to read opinions on this as a I 130 Filer for spouse.

Eligible immediate relatives include the U.S. citizen’s:

  • Spouse
  • Unmarried child under the age of 21
  • Parent (if the U.S. citizen is over the age of 21)

Immediate relatives have special immigration priority. They do not have to wait in line

for a visa number to become available for them to immigrate because

there are an unlimited number of visas for their particular categories.

F2A is Family members of Permanent Residents, not US citizens

For all whose priority date is later than 08SEP13. They can not get a visa until the date will not move forward.

October is when the FY2015 visa's kick in. So for all those who filed I-130 after 8th Sep just have to wait. Your I-130 can get approved anytime but have to wait post approval for NVC to process or to Adjust status until your PD meets the cut off date in VB.

Why do the other categories move foward ?

and why not the F2A category ?

Because other categories moved forward slowly. F2A category moved forward much faster in the summer of 2013. Other categories have to wait much longer.
