Hello,

about this regression thing. Forgive my ignorance here....How long does a priority date stay current? Is there a set time for regression to begin? I am (the beneficiary) currently in the process of an f4 visa but I have no idea what my priority date is BUT I know that my PD was/is probably current due to the fact that my sibling had her interview in May (2014) and my brother filed for us at the same time.

She submitted her forms (ds-230 etc) years ago while I only submitted mine this June. I am worried that I may be subject to waiting YEARS again due to regression....am I understanding this correctly?

Dear All,

I have been reading this forum for a couple of years now, but this is my first post, and I have a question in mind.

My sister in law applied for my wife for an immigrant visa in the F4 category in April 2009, we were engaged at the time. We got married in May 2009 and currently have 2 kids.

My question is... is there anything we should do? Does it effect my wife's application that we got married? Should my wife add me and the kids in her application at the current time? or we should wait until the PD is current and then add us in the visa application? To be honest this question has been on mind for a while and I'm not sure if anything should be done or just sit and wait.

Also, my wife received the approval letter shortly after the application, to be precise, she received it in September 2009. What does the approval letter mean exactly? and how does it effect the application?

Thank you in advance to all, and wish you all a successful visa journey.
