Hello everyone!

I have opened up my first topic few weeks ago and it was about the taxes for the year 2010 that were overdue,we had everything filed and just owed IRS for 2010,they removed the penalties due to our serious reason.

anyways,i was concerned what paperwork i should bring with me to the interview, since we got the payment agreement for the federal tax,but not state.

well now i have different question,

My husband payed overdue taxes in full with cash,so last week we payed the federal(penalty-free),and this week the state tax.

We don't owe anything to IRS from now on,my questions are:

-i have the receipts(check/money order receipt) from IRS that the amount is payed, with the scan copy of the check. Is there anything else i should bring with me to the interview apart from tax returns, tax transcripts and receipts that it's payed off to prove we don't owe anything?

-is that gonna be a problem or any sort of extension for the decision making on the interview?

Again, will be very grateful for any sort of answer.

Hello:

Paying that debt off with IRS is a good thing. Having receipts and photocopies of the checks you used to pay that is a very good evidence. I don't know if IRS sent you a letter telling you that you don't owe anything with them but if you received that take it.

You shouldn't be having any problems with USCIS since you paid all of your taxes.

Bonne chance madame.

oh merci beaucoup mon ami!)))

yeah i hope i'm gonna be fine.i haven't received any mails from IRS confirming that everything is payed off,but i have federal state tax payment paper that shows the amount we owe and the next is copy of our check with the same amount of money and the stamp, that IRS received the payment.State tax is just a money order/receipt,says only that it's payed off. i was thinking of going to IRS local for the confirmation paper, but now i'm not sure if i will have time for that, besides, state&federal offices are different.
