Mom's name is different from my bc

Hi everyone. I am about to star a petition for my parents to be here in the US. My mother's name is different from her bc and marriage certificate. Ex. My bc says her name is Toni but their marriage contract says Toni Ross and her BC says Tony Ross. They have however have an annotation saying that Toni Ros and Tony Ross is the same or have been corrected however it is different from my BC. What do we need to do? I need your help

I doing need you need to worry much about the name difference especially since an annotation exists to that effect. If there is time, have it legally/formally corrected. If not, attach an explanation to the application and explain the name difference and indicate that an annotation exists clarifying it, you should be perfectly okay.

All that would be needed is a copy of her affidavits showing the name change.

Nothing to worry about just remember when it comes time to order the NBI to do the AKA (for all names)

will an affidavit stating that Tony Ross, Toni and Toni Ross is one and the same would suffice????

Check the LCR office from where you mother was born,they will give you the list of the paperworks she needs to submit. There is a requirement to change her name,or to have it same as her name from her marriage certificate. Then since shes your mom she can request to have your birth certificate's mother;s name change to her new changed name. its complicated. Its a long way but you can do it one step at a time. Well your mom has to do it before she starts to have a passport done.

She needs to stick to one name and have the marriage certificate,her birth certificate and your birthcertificate changed to one same name. then have her NBI be informed about her other names (AKAs)

we are in the same situation... well thats our plan. Check others opinion and choose whose advise is better. Goodluck.
