Here @ home we were just couch potatoes (me and kids) watching the Times Square Ball droppin'. Pieter was sound asleep on d' Netherlands, he had his 2007 celebration 7 hours before I did.... We all missed him a lot... awwwww

I know. I remember.

And you know what? That memory of what it was like keeps me strong when he leaves dirty dishes in the sink. Or when we don't see eye to eye. Or when things aren't financially or logistically just like we want them to be.

And it will keep you strong as well. Once you see that light, once you are in it....then these dark times will actually be what takes your commitment beyond the normal pale.

I know you're right. It's times like these that I feel really far away from him. And I know in a couple of months he'll be here. And on an average day, it's okay, because I'm busy, and occupied... but on a night like this when we should be together, we should at least be sleeping in the same bed, it's hard.

yep dishes in the sink and socks on the floor...long as put the toilet seat down, I'm ok.

Being as they don't have a modern toilet there, I showed him with the webcam exactly how I expect to find it. Starting the training early. Maybe I should show him where dirty socks go while I'm at it.

yeah New Years is hard for me too. I got my crying in earlier today! And I know it is silly to cry. I am really happy and excited. This is the year we are getting married. BUT...we met at New Years...we've spent the last 3 New Years together.

I also got to call him right as it struck midnight there. Everyone on my end was screaming happy New Years to him..was kinda special.

I just miss him.

Now I think I will go to bed. But 2007 is going to be special!
