It doesn't seem like it'll ever end. PD Feb. 11, soon it'll be a year and no approval yet. I have tried everything and contact every possible authority but to no avail.

hi,

can you elaborate a bit more on the "i have tried everything and contact everyone" so we feb supporters here can offer alternatives or further suggestions.

also, it would be helpful if you filled in your timeline so we had a better idea of your dates....not that this is a biggie but it does help.

some have been through this proocess knocking on all doors....which ones have you knocked?

just trying to help

may I suggest a face to face with an officer at an info-pass appt?

this was how we got them to take action on our case.

looks like our file was transferred from one service center to another 3x, each not wanting to do the research (that's our opinion), until my husband (the usc) made 4 info pass appts to dig deeper and deeper why we kept on receiving transfer notices yet no action or reason why our case was being held up, finally at our interview (yes, we were pulled in for an interview at the i 130 stage) the supervisor told us why the hold up, explaining that each transfer they did a bit more digging (really, we doubted that) but it was when my husband persisted with the info pass appt that they realized there was really a problem and begin to investigate at the field office level, we were approved on the spot! turns out montreal consulate never cancelled the k1 visa previously applied for....10 month delay for their error!!!!

if you don't live close to a field office, it is worth the drive. in our opinion it shows you are serious and committed to the process. if you get a helpful officer (in our case the 2nd appt my husband spoke with the supervisor unknowningly) your in good hands. ask many questions and have them ready, you know if then, then what? senarios. remember they aren't going to just give you a plethora of info....you gotta ask

get on it today!!!!

good luck
