RFE for police certificate after case complete (split topic)

Hi

I got an RFE saying we needed to supply a police certificate. We supplied it with everything else and it was the original and correct one. We called the NVC and they said our case was complete and waiting to schedule an interview, but the day after the case was marked complete we got an RFE for the police cert. Anyone have this happen?

Yes, on the 13 of last month we got a RFE for question 13.a.1 of co-sponsers I864 which is total income for 2012. I corrected it sent it the next day, after 3 weeks of waiting... I called Yesturday and NVC told me case is complete, today i got another RFE email which requested for question 13.a. which is the last tax year(2012), and proof of citizenship.. i called they said were on the waiting list for the interview and recomended we take it to the interview..

We ended up getting another police certificate for the interview to be safe. We think they are confusing Victoria with other states that send if to the consulate directly. But we got an interview at least

what did u have to do about the RFE u got after they said the case is complete?what did they have to say when u called them?

They said it was complete and to disregard the letter. But we could not get a definitive answer from NVC or consulate if they had police cert so got another one just in case

oh ic,somewhat similar thing for us...couldnt get a definitive answer as to why we got a 2nd RFE.

Over phone is how they told us that our case is complete and should wait for the intrvw date,but no emails yet on that.. that worries me a little,shldnt we be getting an email saying its complete?
