Hello, I new to the website. I applied for a K-1 visa in Sep. The case was approved and I am waiting now for it to get to the NVC and then forwarded to Manila. I am in the Air Force and have seen in the forum that there is something called a military expedite. Does anybody know where I can find more information about it? Anything that could get my fiancee here earlier would be great.

Thank you

Kevin

A military expedite exists at the service center level for those about to be deployed. If this is your case, I would contact the Manila embassy directly to request an expedite and ask how they handle it.Good luck.

If you are being deployed to an overseas duty, they may consider to expedite for that reason, you need to get a letter from your commanding officer explaining your deployment orders.

Department of Defense of National Interest Situation (Note: Request must come from official United States Government entity and state that delay will be detrimental to our Government)

USCIS Expedite Criteria

im military and i received an expedite

heres how...

But Matt, you are expecting to be deployed, correct? I am under the impression that there are no special circumstances for members of the military in general and that an expedite ONLY applies to those about to be deployed. Is that correct?

i guess i didnt see the OPs post stating that he is not deploying anywhere. oops.

Yes kitkat, there is no way to expedite if you are not deploying. And not just deploying anywhere, but you must be deploying in support of Operation Iraqi / Enduring Freedom.
