I apologize if this is in the wrong area but you all are always so helpful in the boards. Here is the situation:

My fiancé is from England & dealt with the London Embassy - from what he said they were wonderful and very nice (even though we didn't get approved).

We applied for the K-1 visa July 2012. During this time things went VERY smooth - he had his police background and the Knightsbridge doctor results November 7th and the petition paperwork was in London just after the Thanksgiving holiday. On December 10th he got very ill with a stomach issue and went into the hospital for almost 2 weeks. He was back in Basildon hospital just before the New Year holiday for another week. During his last hospital stay they did an endoscopy - scratched up his throat & tore the lining in his stomach. He didn't realize anything was really wrong, just knew he didn't feel very well. He wanted to go to the interview anyway. He made it all the way through to the interview (January 9th, 2013) got the approval to come over and was just waiting to get the final document (I think that's how it goes...) and had a coughing fit. When he coughed a little spittle of blood came out and they revoked the approval because of it. But we're strong together and this is absolutely what we both want so we have fought the hospital to tooth and nail to get here. He's been back a few times for check ups/ visits to Basildon hospital through the year and they have finally diagnosed him with Crohn's disease - his mother has it as well (it is not a communicable or infectious disease - I'm not sure if most people know what it is).

Here we are, a year (+ a couple of weeks) after the interview and we're finally reapplying for the K-1 since he's better. I just have a couple of questions now that you know the whole situation:

*I cannot find the document that was sent to me after the NOA2 with the A# to enter it on the I-129f. Do you know who I can call to get it?

*Do I need to attach a supplemental sheet for Part 2 question 14h of the I-129f explaining the nature of his denial last January? If so, should I give all of the details as I have to you or should I just keep it short (as the hospital caused injury)?

*He is getting all of the hospital documentation together for this go-round to prove that he is well. I know he will have to go to the Knightsbridge doctors again, will they check all of that as well and document it?

Thank you so much for any help you can give me. It is much appreciated!

~Mandy

That is such a hard story to read, I really feel for you, and I really hope your 2nd journey goes a lot more smoothly, and your fella is on the mend long term.

I would advise you attach a supplemental document, with supporting evidence, more is always better, especially if you have nothing to hide. Nich-Nick, and Wheatley created an extensive K1 document that you may want to check out, as there have been some changes in the process (especially after NOA2) since you would have last replied. Knightsbridge normally need documentation for injuries, illnesses, and conditions which are prevalent to your fella being a public charge on the American health system. If he is fine, I wouldn't bring it up and make a huge issue about it, but be sure to have documentation handy, as I believe there are questions regarding recent hospitalization, which is always a good thing to have extra documentation for.

I am really wishing you a rapid journey. You gotta look at it as, if you can survive this in your relationship, you are already there, you have beaten the statistics, true love triumphed. Stay patient as hard as it is, and the bestest of luck, sincerely.

Thank you so much. We will survive this & whatever else is thrown our way for sure. Our motto is we're stronger together than we've ever been apart. :)

Svrman... Should I get the hospital docs in with the I-129f again or just leave it with the statement of what had happened back then - stating that he has all hospital documentation? He's not been to the hospital or been ill again since beginning of October - that's when they finally diagnosed him.

Thanks Paddington :) good luck to you and your mister as well!!

Girl from Celebes - thank you for your kind words & good wishes :) We'll be together 4 years May this year - we truly believe we can survive any & everything as long as we stand together.
