Hi every one, my wife and I have a joint account in the bank. In the I-864 there you can fill your assets there. But is joint account, if we have $100 in the account, do we consider is half money in the bank account is my wife and half is my,like my wife have $50 and I have $50?? Thanks a lot Friends

Is it a sufficient amount? If there's literally just 100$ in the bank account there's no need to add that. If you have a few grands in the bank then I would add it. Peanuts are not gonna change anything.

yes there have sufficient amount, I just wondering how much should we write as my wife citizen assets and how much is my assets since is joint account. Also my wife is assets /3 , for me is assets /5

Now I'm not a 100% sure on that, so see if somebody can give you better info in this, but I would suggest you don't differ between your wife's and your assets. How are they gonna tell what's yours and what's hers? In the end they wanna see that there is money that can be used to keep you from becoming a public charge. Money that is there, is there to use. So if I was you I would put all of it down.

The money in the bank is 100% yours, and also 100% your wife's. You share it equally. If you have a considerable amount of money in the bank then just list it as your assets. You will need 3 times the assets to cover the difference you need to reach 125%. If your income is already over 125%, you dont need to include assets.
