as many of you know, in Egypt, they use four names, which is first, Father, Grandfather, and father's Grandfather. there is no such thing as middle name in Egypt.

My wife and I are cousins. my wife had her point of Entry to the U.S. in December, 2013.

Her name in the Egyptian Passport as follows

Surname (Last Name): Abdelsaid

Given name: Sara Amir Farah

My name is as follows

Last Name: Farah (

First Name: Sam

Middle Name: Mina ( it was changed from Magdy, which is my fathers name, when I became a U.S. Citizen)

When I took my wife to the Social Security office to apply for a S.S.N.

The Lady verified the name, and according to INS, Her name is listed as the following

Last Name: Abdelsaid

First Name: Sara Amir Farah

She said to fix this, contact INS, and they should fix it. She has to go by what's in the system.

when I went to court, to apply for a marriage certificate, I chose for her to have my last name, which is "Farah"

the court Clerk, made the name after the marriage

Last Name: Farah

First Name: Sara Amir Farah

I don't know what to do. I tried contacting INS so many times, the system keeps telling me, Please try again later, to apply for an appointment.

Some suggested to fix the name when my wife applies for her US Citizenship, which is in another 4 years at least.

I read a quite of name issue posts similar to mi/ne, but I couldn't get a correct resolution.

Should I correct the name when apply for AOS?

Please Help.
