Hi VJ, I have been looking at all kinds of topics on this site and trying to get as much info as I can for this process. Maybe I should just ask the questions and im sure someone has the answers I need.

#1. What info do I need to start this process in the I-129F package that I send off. (ex. I-129F form, other forms, copies of airline tickets, pictures, Letter of Intent, etc. )

#2. When do I need to send off the I-134 form?

#3. Since we are so close to filing taxes this year should I just wait to do that next month before I start the process ( we only talking 3 weeks or so)?

I'm just trying to do this right the first time which we all are so any info would be greatly appreciated....

No need to wait.

Read the Guides and follow the Example Forms will answer all your questions.

The K1 Visa Guide is very thorough, it has all the information you need to file. You can send it in as soon as you have the packet assembled. Don't worry about the tax stuff right now. You won't have to provide financials until the interview stage, which will be several months from now.

Welcome! As the poster above stated, read the guides http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1guide. Before you submit your final package, check over everything multiple times, and make sure to copy everything you send!

You aren't going to need the I-34 until the NOA2 stage, which will be months from now, so I'd start the application process now. Once you submit, make sure you fill out your timeline and find your country specific portal so you can start gathering information about the interview stage at your local consulate.

Good luck!

1. You will need at minimum:

  • I-129f form
  • 2 G-325A forms with passport photo (one for you, one for your fiance)
  • 2 letters of intent (one for you, one for your fiance)
  • Proof of your citizenship (either copy of your birth certificate or ALL pages of your passport)
  • Divorce decrees of either party (if this applies to your case)
  • Primary evidence that you have met in person within the last 2 years (boarding passes, passport stamps, etc.)

You can also include proof of relationship or any other evidence you may think will help your case.

2. The I-134 is filled out in the next stage of the process, when your approved petition is sent to the embassy. No need to worry about that now.

3. File now! You do not need to wait for your taxes to file. And since your I-134 won't be filled out for a few months anyways, you are good to go.

Follow the link already given for the K-1 guide. Also look at the example forms for an idea how to fill out the various forms for the process. Good luck!

Based on what I seen on the K-1 guide. I have to submit a G-325a and letter of intent from my Fiance in the Philippines that has to go along with my first package I-129F. Is that correct? If that is correct then I have to wait for about a month cause of the mailing system. Oh boy lol...

Yes you will need a G-325A, letter of intent, and one passport picture from your fiance. Just use Fed-ex (or something similar). I researched Fed-ex would only take about a few days for you to receive. My fiancee will have to do the same when she sends me her forms.

We just started gathering our documents. Hopefully we will be able to file in the next few weeks, of course I need to wait for my fiancee's forms. Of course you can add me if you like.

Ok great so we will be pretty much on the same journey at the same time so we can feed off each other during this experience. My fiancé is also getting her docs together but have to get her to get those 2x2 photos now and send it to me along with the letter of intent and g-325a.

Thanks
