Quick question for someone who can help us. My wife applied for and received a SSN before we married. Now we are married. How easy is it to get her name changed for the SSN now? I heard that we have to wait until she gets her work authorization now until we can change her name. Is that true? Or can we just go to the local office and get it changed? Thanks for your help.

Yes the best thing to do is apply for adjustment of status, and EAD, and then get the name change done at the SSA office after you have Green-Card or EAD.

They probbly will not do a name change until the new name shows up on the SAVE system, that wont happen until you have EAD or green card.
