Is it possible to just go to your local office & do a walk in Biometrics?

We have an appointment but we can not make it on the date they have sent.

So do we just turn up & hope they will do it?

Has anyone done a walk in at the Fairfax VA office?

Thanks

There's a thread for that http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/367977-thinking-of-early-walk-in-for-biometrics/?p=6727415 but alas, nobody reporting from Fairfax. :(

Add to the thread if you are successful.

Add the date by yours so people will know when you tried... Add yes or no..either way it goes.

I did a walk in easily at my local office, think it depends on the office but it's worth a go.

Here you go 4 hour round trip to Alexandria today to try a walk in biometrics.

Do not know how to add it to the string so hopefully someone will do it for me?

Parents walked in with their letter dated for Jan 24 3pm appointment, guard stamped it, no conversation, fill in form take to guard no 2, no conversation gave them numbers. Sit & wait 5 minutes all done back in the car.

They had all the proof of why they could not make the Jan 24 appointment but it was never even noticed.

Walk in biometrics at Alexandria are possible.

Hope this helps somebody else.

So can anyone tell me what happens next?

Do we have an interview before they issue EAD & AP?

Thanks as always for all the help.
