Hello everyone!

I will try not to repeat what everyone has said here already. First, please review what Naina has posted here:

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/471627-general-tips-us-embassy-in-islamabad-k1-visa/#entry6714652

One note to add, please have exact change. My fiancee was first/second one to be interviewed and they asked for exact change. Luckily, her father had thought of that before hand and had given her exact change and some extra cash incase (she had all kinds of bills i.e. 10s 20s, 50s etc). Entire interview took an hour only.

here is my embassy review. Feel free to ask any question or anything i didn't cover.

Alhumdulilah!! The process was very smooth.

Submitted the packet 3.5 on Oct 25 (Friday) and it was received on the 28th (Monday). Packet 4 took a while, came on Dec 09. Interview date was Dec 27.

Here is how the interview day went:
My fiancee had her appointment time 7:30 a.m. so she was the first to be interviewed. I told her to get there earlier as everyone else here suggested. She left her hotel around 6 got outside the embassy around 6:45ish. she was directed to Immigration line. She was the second one there. A family with elderly person came so she let them cut the line. She enter the embassy around 7:30. Gave her passport to the counter and cash. Her dad gave her exact change and some extra money so she doesn't have to wait for change.

After that she was called for interview and standard questions and one interesting question.

How you met?
Is it arranged or Love marriage
Wouldn't it be difficult for you live in USA? your whole life is here
What does your fiance do for living?
Any pictures together? After seeing the pictures, CO was satisfied
one last question:
What is his favorite dish..... she replied without a blink Biryani and both of them start laughing

Congratulations!! Welcome USA!!!

She was out by 8:30 am. Yup only took an hour.
