What does Administrating Processing mean?

Hi guys just wondering what does AP means and is it normal . My fiance got approved on Dec. 17th and i saw it updated on the 20th of Dec. How long does it usually take to get the visa back. Just missing my baby. :(

Mine went to issued 2days after saying ap...but as you know everyone takes its own timing....i hope yours get issued very soon....i totally understand that horrible lonely feeling....good luck

Yeah mine went to issued 1 day after changing to AP. But it took us 2 weeks and 3 days after approval to get issued. Before it changed to AP on CEAC it was stuck on Ready.

August 4 2012: filed i130

December 5 2012: noa1

May 8:2013: noa2

June 3 2013: case received at NVC

August 26 2013: AOS package received at NVC

Sept 19 2013: case complete

October 1 2013: interview date received from NVC

Nov 26 2013: interview

AP is the timeframe for them to finalize your paperwork. It varies for each person. It should not take long though. I think I read it goes from ap to ready to issued or vice versa.

Phase I - IV - Completed the Immigration Journey

Timeline

If you applied for the K1 your CEAC status should go from Immigrant Visa "Ready" to Non-Immigrant Visa "Ready" to Non-Immigrant Visa "Administrative Processing" to Non-Immigrant Visa "Issued".

The timeframe varies. Its on a case-by-case basis. Hang on, soon come.
