I am in Pakistan - karachi

Go to the nearest police station and request one. It is free but sometimes you come across people who will charge you (ask for bribe). I got mine over 10 years ago for free but my dad had to pay for my mom's so it could be free or can cost you from Rs 500 to 5000. I didn't tell them I was applying for immigrant visa b/c then they try to rip you off. I simply said that I know someone who is getting married and I need police certificate to apply for visitor visa. They probably thought this guy got no shot and took my request.

What part of Karachi are you in?

According to travel state updated information you are not required to get a pcc from pakistan anymore.

http://travel.state.gov/visa/fees/fees_5455.html?cid=9713

Not available. Pakistan has no nationwide tracking system in place for criminal activities. Police Character Certificates are available for a fee from District Coordinating Offices. However, they are not an accurate reflection of an individual's criminal record. An applicant who has committed a crime in one district may be able to obtain a clean Character Certificate from that district or another. Given the inaccuracy of these certificates, they are not required for consular processing.

I have confirmed this with people who went for an interview.. It was not asked by the counsular nor nvc instructed infact they asked them not to bring or waste ur time.
