Hey Guys- Quick question,

I filed a I-485 for my wife in August. i received a letter from USCIS stating that her interview might be waived off but the processing will be delayed by another 6 months. Reading the previous comments, this might take much longer like a year.

in the meantime, can i apply for EAD and AP, will it create problems for her GC application. she is currently interning at a place without any pay and they are interested to hire her, they are waiting for her GC.

We dont want to ignore this opportunity.

any help will be much appreciated.

Yes you can apply for an EAD and AP. Just include a copy of your NOA1 from the I-485 application, and you won't have to pay the filing fees.
