DS 260 and supporting documents?

Hi all:

I am finished filling in the DS260 online but have not pressed submit button yet. I am just waiting for my long form Birth Certificate to arrive. I have been approved for electronic processing but am wondering once I press submit button on DS 260 will it ask for the supporting documents or are they requested separately via email through NV?. I don't want to press submit and then not have the birth certificate ready to send. Every thing I read on visajourney says have the documents ready but doesn't say when to send them.

If anyone has an answer for this I would appreciate it.

I think the documents ppl are talking abt is the ones you need for your interview, to have them ready in good time before interview. If not, i have totally missee something because i haven't submitted any documents with the ds-260!!

the civil documents such as birth certificates etc can be sent to NVC even after submitting ds260.

u can hit the submit button for ur ds260 now and send in ur other documents whenever they are ready.

You can send the DS-260 and then the IV package anytime afterward.

It'll take them a few weeks to review the IV package anyhow.

Thats because you're doing a K1 and the OP is doing CR1, two different process's!
