Hey yall,

My fiance got approved for K1 visa! I am shopping for a plane ticket for her. I was wondering is there anything we should keep in mind? I was just going to book a flight on orbitz.com in Her name for her to come to North Carolina, USA. She is coming from Morocco. I just didnt know if there were any rules or regulations to follow before booking this flight. It is a lot of money and I do not want to make a mistake. I want her to fly here on December 29. She picks up her visa on tuesday, December 17th.

Please help and offer advice and insight.

Thanks!

My fiance booked my flight from Orbitz too (and to North Carolina too). No rules or regulations. Will she be flying with Delta?

Yes, anyone can book for the ticket. Doesn't really matter.

We flew through Qatar airways and got a ticket for $500 but my fiance will have a connecting flight in Qatar. RAM will be a nice, straight flight for her. Congratulations. star_smile.gif

Some advice, if you decide to go through a company other than RAM, such as Iberia or Qatar airways check their credit card policy. Qatar airways and Iberia requires the cardholder to be present on the flight to possibly show credit card for verification if asked OR to supply additional documentation to ensure the credit card holder's safety if the creditcard holder is not present during the flight. I was also told by a woman who flew from Morocco to make sure you don't need a transit visa if you have a connecting flight in Europe/Canada, and to not take a flight with 2+ stops in Europe because she was denied entry and had to buy a completely different flight.

If you have any questions about regulations, just call the airline. I had many questions and each airline I called answered everything I was curious about smile.png

Thanks for the info. So what I have found and want is: Royal Air Maroc form Casablanca to New York. I will book this flight from Royal Air Maroc's website. ofr 8568 MAD which equals $1,050

Then I want to use orbitz.com to book a flight from New York to North Carolina. So, it will be two separate flight. But Casablanca > New York (Royal Air Maroc) this cost $254. Bringing my total cost to $1,304. :(

Then New York > Charlotte, North carolina > Wilmington, North Carolina using U.S Airways booked through Orbitz.com

is this ok?
