In question #7 of the I-134 Affidavit of Support form it states, "That I am employed or engaged in the business of _______ with _______ at __________________________," etc.

The blanks for the address of this question are USA based only.

I live/work in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam and don't know quite how to present the address of the company I work for.

Anybody have an answer or experience for/with this situation? I know there have been some other people in similar situations to mine. Can ya help me out with this one?

Does the company you work for have a US based headquarter? Put that address in there.

STL_HCMC,

I don't see the problem - fill in that 3rd space with however a Vietnamese address should be written. The consular officers posted in Vietnam know their post, they'll understand the address.

Your bigger problem may be how to show that you'll be able to support your fiancee when you return to the USA - hopefully you'll continue working for the same firm in one of their US facilities, or you have a new position already lined-up and assured?

Thanks for the reply from everyone thus far. I've answered some of your questions/comments below, and I'm hoping maybe that will lead to further input.

1. Scy - No. The company I work for does not have a USA based headquarter, representative office, etc. I work for a private Vietnamese company in Ho Chi Minh City and this is how I met my fiancee.

2. Yodrak - I appreciate your advice. (1) There isn't a US facility of this company for me to work at, (2) I haven't lined up a job in the US yet as I'm still employed in Vietnam, (3) I have a co-sponsor (father) for this petition and (4) I plan to have evidence of domicile in the USA through credit card, bank and other financial statements bearing the address, voting registration bearing the address and whatever else that will show I'm only temporarily living/working in Vietnam.

3. Yodrak & Mand - can you specify more clearly how to present the address on the line for question #7. Should I mark none for state and zip code? Where would you recommend placing the country Vietnam on the line?

Thanks in again for all your advice!
