Hi everyone

I was just wondering if you need to be a certain age for anything? Obviously I'm assuming over 18, but me and my partner are under 21. Will this affect anything? I read somewhere that someone needed parental consent and I was just wondering if this is true?

As far as the US is concern, you are both adults if you have reach the age of majority in your jurisdiction.

If you are both over age 18, then you don't have a problem in either the US or the UK. You will not need parental consent.

On a tangent, does your US citizen partner earn enough to satisfy the I-864 requirements?

But you have to comply with the laws of her country as well as far as age is concerned. Are her parents on board with this? FInd out if you need something and get them to execute it.

No, your ages will not affect your petition.

For my country, the parental consent is only needed for the cfo seminar (only for Filipinos emigrating to another country). They ask for it if the beneficiary is below 21.
