I'm about to send off my AOS forms (I-130 and I-485) and I know this is a silly question but how exactly do I make a money order? I'm the foreign spouse so I don't have an American bank account yet, all I have is my UK debit card which I transfer money from there to a "cash passport" card. I do this online. I was thinking the only solution would be to draw out the money in cash from an ATM ($800 is the maximum so I would have to do this in 2 days) and then make the money order. Does anybody else have any other suggestions? Do I have to go to a bank in order to do this?

My fiancé buys money order from the gas station. You can bring cash and buy it over the counter. Hope that helps

Your American spouse could write a check for the payment. Does he/she have a bank account
