Hello am a newbie.. Thanks for taking time to read!

First off I just came across this great forum and its just so inspirational.

Very happy I came across it..sooner than later.

OK so reading this forums and other articles I see there is a huge backlog regarding I-130

I have a question about filing for my husband and I am aware every case is different as well as there is no such as exact date, timeframe when paperwork will be approved.

Considering this backlog and with the F2A category current, I am an LPR who just got my citizenship interview date today for January ending. Now my dilemma is should I wait to finish my citizenship process which will be in march hopefully to file for my husband, file for my husband as soon as I get to the USA ( I am out the country now will return after the Xmas season.

Is there any chance by march when I file for him the backlog will be cleared to some what so I don't face any unnecessary long waits?

I read somewhere by May things will get better, so with that should I wait till may even tho I become a citizen?

What would you do?...

PS: I know you can't really tell with USCIS, I could put my papers in now and get an approval..lol

But what would your gamble be?

Share please.. And thanks thanks thanks...

I would say to go ahead and file as soon as you get back to the USA. You might update your status later from an LPR to USC but at least you'll gain like 2 or 3 of wait time.

11/28/2016: I-130 sent to Chicago IL lock box
