hello every one...

I had my interview few days before and co asked for joint sponsor .one of my family friend is ready to do this favor now the situation is he and his wife and me so the household becomes 3 and minimum income requirement is 26000 I guess...my joint sponsor has more than sufficient income for 2012 but for 2011 and 2010 his income is less than guideline on the other hand his wife's income is way way more than poverty guideline for those years 2010 and 2011.. but she is on retirement and on social security for this year....they live together things are fine but both of them file their taxes independently .....she is ready to sign i864a....are they going to consider her income as well since she is going to sign i864 a....my joint sponsor"s this year income is good but is it going to effect that his last two year income is low though his wifes income for those years was above 70 k ...p[ease I need some advise on it,,,m really very confused and have no idea what to do

_{They generally look at the most recent income... thats why they ask to submitt recent pay stubs.}

_{For example right now its end of 2013 you have not submitted your tax's for the current year that has passed. the cosponces income could have increased further or possibly droped to nothing. Reason for the past 3 years is more of a formaliy to check stability. When i filed as a cosponcer for someone many years ago one year of my income was significantly less because i was attending University.}

_{I would suggest dont make it complicated, submitt only his.. include a most recent pay stub, they will be looking for "year to date" for 2013 income and last years tax return... that shows 2 years of history which is sufficient to make a decission.}

_{As always try your best to not over complicate your file or sending additional unnecessary items. If the Immigration department needs it, they will ask you for it, send only what is required and enough to make a sound judgement for them.}
