I am completely at a loss...when my fiancée and I decided to change our plans and start the paper work the police record was clear and now we were told police record expires so went to get another one and there is a "possession of ganja-cigerette amount"...weird how it wasn't on the previous one and now what....is that an automatic denial and if so how long? Should I consult an attorney? I'm just sick.....

First, you need to figure out whether this 1. is an error, 2. if it happened after the first police certificate was issued, or 3. if it was somehow concealed in the first certificate.

1. If this is an error, you need to dispute it with the local authority that issued the certificate.

2. If this possession happened after the first certificate was issued, there isn't much that can be done, other than admit his mistake. He may be ineligible for a visa for up to one year. I would seek competent legal advice before returning to the consulate with this updated rap sheet.

3. Some police jurisdictions in some countries will remove less serious convictions off of a person's record after a certain amount of years. These are generally not accepted by US consulates for immigration purposes.

If this was not an erroneous charge, and your fiance answer "no" to having been arrested or convicted, believing this was "outdated" you have a very serious problem on your hands, and I would seek competent legal advice ASAP.

Wow, ummm you need to go to Kingston office to address why not on first one, and now this one. Also, did he go to court, does he have a court document of the results? Was he cleared of charges? If he can prove it, he takes it to Kingston office, they can clear him.

If U got weed on the record they will be adamant its so, if its an error check

Min of Security & Justice how it can be sorted out , please do not let anyone

sell u a bandooloo one, that machine they have place there by the US gov.

was to screen out the hook-ups, they had 100s re-did their PR reports a few yrs

back when those machine was put in, also the dept.is under scrutnity.

If U got that weed case after the first one maybe KD can go in court and argue

the case to get it dropped , but Jamaican attys does nothing in regards to USCIS

cases.or can.

Dude I get the feeling the 1st one U got lucky because U said its weird the 1st report

was good, weed stays in the system a while too, did U not know in the process the PR

is out of date after every 6 mths?...If its a mistake I would have notation made of that

to the embassy ....no weed smoking during the process..golden seals. merengue &

the rest do not mask it......Bretheren best wishes
