Hi,

So Im finally going to apply for AOS from B2 after marrying a US citizen and I think Im ready. Before putting everything together and sending the package, I want to hear your opinion about it.

Im filling concurrently and The evidence I gathered for the I-130 is :

- Lease in both our names

- Two joint bank accounts and one bank statement in both our names

- Evidence that Im an authorized user on his credit card and a credit card of my own under the same bank account

- Joint Car insurance

- Mail sent to our house in both our names or one of us

- Wedding preparation receipts: Rings, Dress, restaurant.

- Honeymoon bookings: Flight and Hotels

- Pictures from the wedding, honeymoon, and other occasions

- Life insurance ( we are trying to get one by Tomorrow)

- Marriage certificate ( OF COURSE)

What we dont have :

Health Insurance

affidavits from friends

A Timeline of our relationship? Is that necessary?

For my I-485 do I need evidence? I only have the affidavits of support from my husband and our joint sponsor including all their tax returns. I have my medical exam sealed.

Is there anything missing ?

Your suggestions are much appreciated.

11/16/2013 - AOS Package sent via UPS ground shipping (I-130, I-485, I-131, I-765)
11/20/2013 (DAY01) Package delivered to Chicago and signed by CHYBA
11/26/2013 (DAY06) NOA Text messages and emails received

12/05/2013 (DAY16) Biometrics letter recieved for 12-19-2013

12/09/2013 (DAY20) Biometrics done in Buffalo (early walk in)

12/18/2013 (DAY29) I-485 status changed to testing and interview

01/06/2014 (DAY 48)- Interview notice for February 10

01/24/2014 ( DAY 66)- EAD AND AP approved

01/30/2014 ( Day 72)- EAD combo card arrived

02/10/2014 (Day 83) Interview date : APPROVED on the spot!! Passport stamped and card production ordered.

February 18 : GC received. Free until November 2016

I didn't have a detailed relationship timeline on my packet either and did not get an RFE for it. I assume they will ask about that stuff on the interview. You also need a cashier's/manager's check (or money order) paid to the order of the "US Department of Homeland Security" for the total amount of AOS + biometric fees (check schedule of fees for the updated amount). Put this in front of your packet along with a cover letter with an itemized enumeration of the packet contents. Other than that you're pack looks good and ready to go.

I only submitted our joint bank account document and the photos of our wedding and our trip to Japan together to see my family and friends there. However, my application was accepted and I haven't had any problems with my process so far.
