Ok so here is the story. I came to the US as a refugee and got my permanent residence like 20 years ago. I have that white colored card with blue logo and no expiration date.

Now I want to travel to my home country for a month, I don't have a passport from that country so I was wondering if I need to renew my Green Card if I want to travel abroad od my old one will still work.

I called the USCIS two times for information and they gave me different answers one saying that I do need to renew it while the other said I don't. Now I am confused if I should renew it or not.

Btw my GC pic is of when I was a child and I am all grown up now, in case that help.

Yes, you will need to renew your green card. The old ones with no expiry date have been invalid for many years.

Do you have any passport at all? You'll need one, or a refugee travel permit.

Why don't you apply for naturalization (to be come a US citizen)?
