i dont think so congressmen can help you , i have heard some weird stories the more you push them through congressmen , you are for sure pissing them off .

I know my senator has helped my brother with my nephew case and he was extremly helpful. I am just waiting for now and not contacting anyone. i am letting embassy do their business foe now.

Well, I just tried one time, I got no response so I left it alone and just got use to the idea that we need to wait no matter how difficult and hurtful this AP can be.
