Hey,

Me and my wife are about to begin CR-1 visa process and I have some questions, I'll be coming to live with her (US citizen) in the US.

1)I know that there are several topics on the subject, but if i have a tourist visa (issued long ago, still valid though) and i'd like to visit my wife in the US during the process. I understand that I should show evidence I have intention of leaving the country, I was wondering what exactly can it be?

is an apartment lease a work contract and a plane ticket back sufficient? can I bring more (Like bank statements, anything else that i didn't think of) evidence to prove it?

2)We are both originally from Israel (she has an american citizenship), she lives and works in the US, but I'm working in asia, and will work until I move there.

Can I process everything from here (given I can get all the right certificates like birth certificate and criminal record and everything) from here?

What If she submit the I-130 form while i'm in asia, and then I want to come back to israel? can the process be continued there? what's the point in the process where I must remain in the same country?

Is there any disadvantage of applying from a country that's not the one you were born in?

3)I am not sure if that's the right place to ask but whatever, as we will be married less than 2 years, i'll get a conditional green card. do you know if employers look at such thing as "risky" employee and would hesitate in recruiting such person?

I assume it'll be harder for me to find a job here (I'm an engineer with several years of experience) than in my home country, but is there anything concrete about having trouble finding job because of this temp status?

Thanks for all the help!

1. Yes you can use the tourist visa. Something like an apartment lease or a letter from your employer is good.

2. Yes, you can process everything from where you currently live, and can interview in any country you are legally resident in, and can move the paperwork during the process, though if you do it late in the process, moving it may cause a delay as paperwork has to be sent from one embassy to another via diplomatic pouch.

3. I doubt it, once you have a greencard, that is all that matters.
