Vaccination records or lack thereof

I have been looking at the I-693 form.

Very concerned about the required vaccinations.

My intended has no idea where her vaccination records might be, although she is sure she got everything. Seems this would be a common situation

And I would think that, with respect to many lesser developed countries, even an existing record when presented would not be accepted by Civil Surgeon in USA who has to sign off on the I-693.

So, for those who have actual experience with this - - - in practice do most of those involved actually end up getting all of the required vaccinations again during the AOS process?

Some danger, I suppose, when vaccinations are repeated during one's lifetime.

A lot of the list of vaccinations are 'age appropriate' meaning that not all vaccinations will be needed. Unless you're on the extreme age spectrum (old/young), then the flu, MMR, chickenpox and tetanus/tDap vaccinations will most likely be the ones required.

While they can run tests, it's almost always just simpler to have them done again; even if you have had them before.

Go to your medical exam first and see what is required for your specific situation.

Well even though i have had all the vaccinations required (with the scars to prove it) The doctor at my medical said I was required to have them all again anyway and it was the only way to complete the form correctly. I asked if I needed my medical records but she said only if you already have them. Which i did not so she just give me all the vaccinations took my $320 and filled out the paper work. So i don't believe the records are required for the medical.

Under what status is your spouse currently here? If she's an F-1 the international student office may have her records on file if she needed to submit them when she first attended.

No, her University required no vaccination records.

My original question was geared toward finding out if anyone actually got their vaccination records from a less developed country; and if the Civil Surgeon in USA gave any credence to these records.

Now an interesting point is that students are allowed in on F-1 without any vaccination records required by US government (Not all Universities require vaccination records, as I well know). While here, they can be infecting the locals with their diseases; but that seems to be OK.

But, when they get married or otherwise seek AOS; then the US government is concerned about protecting locals from their diseases (if any); never mind that they have already infected thousands during their student years in USA !!!!

Am I missing something here??

The vaccines listed on I-693 are shown below. So what did your 'all' include?

Note: For those who have already advised that not all are age appropriate, and the the Civil Surgeon will tell which are needed . . . I got your drift.

HepatitisA - - - two doses, 6 months apart.
