Hello All,

Interview letter finally arrived today but the embassy scheduled it during a time he stated he was traveling internationally on business so we need to request a change of interview date. So deflating!

The interview letter says that the request of change must be done in writing. I am wondering if we can do it over email or if it must be sent via the post. Does any one know?

Has anyone ever had to request a change? If yes, was the reschedule done quickly?

This will take us past of NOA2 date but he already has a notarized intent letter from me so I think we are good there.

Thank you in advance for your response.

It's an option to choose on the contact form. http://london.usembassy.gov/niv/visa_contact_form.html

Hi, I had this problem too, see my lengthy post on it here:

In short, you can use the contact form, but other docs say you have to inform them in writing by mail. The reschedule was done within a few days; I found out by calling DoS, and then the letter arrived from the embassy a few days later.

Good luck!

Lizzyduckluv, you should call the Department of State. My husband and I had the same issue (he was out of the country for his original interview date) so we followed Kate33's posts and attempted to contact the embassy. I saw a CEAC update a week after our contact attempts, so we called the Department of State. They were able to confirm the new interview date of Oct. 28.

Visa Journey members are awesome!!!

SLCPLC--Thanks for your response! I called DOS this morning and confirmed the new interview date of Nov. 5th. So happy!

Agree this forum and the members are amazingly helpful. I cannot even imagine how much more difficult this process would have been without this group.

Congrats on your interview and good luck to you!
