DS-156 form not available, but still required!!!

So, my fiancé just tried to access the DS-156 since she was told in her most recent packet to do so. Her interview is already scheduled. The problem is, it doesn't seem to be available anymore and in its place is the DS-160, which starting in October, replaces the DS-156. The problem is (written in the info blurb in the link below) that is says the DS-156 is still required for those whose interview was scheduled before October 7, which fits our case.

So, if the form isn't available any more, but still required as we're in this gray zone, what now!? ...this amidst a government "shutdown" and now we're really worried!

Any input much appreciated! It's been 8 months already and although many of you have waited longer, it's just nerve racking! it would be cheaper and easier to just fly her to Mexico and smuggle her in; heck, she'd even have healthcare then!!!
