Interview Dates for Manila Embassy

For anyone here who got their approval in September or October, have you received your interview date yet?

Jinky called the embassy and they confirmed receipt of our application on November 2nd, but was told they are all booked for interviews for the next 120 days.

- Will they automatically extend beyond the expiration of the NOA2 date as compensation or is it something we need to request?

- For those who have received your interview date, how many days is it from your NOA2? (based on viewing other timelines - I was under the impression that 4 months was about the longest waiting time)

The "pre-interview" letter the USE sends beneficiaries once the physical file arrives used to say "average wait time of 120 days". But I believe this has even been extended out to 150 days now. Not sure why the back-log.

The 120 days is standard Embassy BS. With a November 3 receipt date at the Embassy, you are about 2 weeks behind me, and should expect an interview date maybe in late February or early March. See the above thread for frequent updates an the latest interviews dates!

They say extension is routine but I'm not sure it needs to be requested or not, they don't really say.

Approved in mid to late august; isent to embassy mid to late september; interview date January 19. The delay kind of sucks!

1) Embassy routinely extends NOA2 validity without waiting for request.

Manila received my petition on Sep 26ish. We now have an interview date set for 21 Dec....next week!!!! We both just found out a couple days ago when I happened to check online with our case number. So at this moment, we are scrambling to get her the paperwork she needs as well as getting her tickets and hotel. We also got one of those pre-interview letters and it also said to expect 150 days....ok, fine so we were expecting Jan or Feb. Surprise! 21 Dec for medex and 28 for interview. She checked her mail soon after I told her and voila! There was the appointment letter.

Also..does anyone know what the average hotel rate is in Manila? Any hotels worth going to? thanks for any inputs. Good luck everyone!
