I just back from Montreal. Interview went very well. The officer said it will get about 5 days to get my passport back. She only gave me Welcome to USA paper and reminded me to go early if I decided to fly and dont open the envelope which says "do not open" in the loomis envelope. I just checked ceac website, it shows "issued" but I saw like this..

Your visa case is currently undergoing necessary administrative processing. This processing can take several weeks. As the officer told you in the interview, if further information is needed, you will be contacted. If your visa application is approved when administrative processing is finished, you will receive notification to collect the passport with the visa from the Loomis branch you selected when you booked your appointment.

Please note: Under the U.S. Immigration and Nationality Act, Immigrant Visas for "Diversity Visas" cannot be issued after September 30th of the year in which you were selected to apply for a Diversity Visa. For example, entrants into the Diversity Visa Program in Fall of 2011 were selected for Diversity Visa 2012 Program, and selectees MUST apply and receive their visa prior to September 30, 2012 otherwise they lose eligibility to receive a Diversity Immigrant Visa, regardless of additional administrative processing. Also, some immigrant visas may not be able to be issued if the annual numerical limit for that category has been reached.

It can mean that they are doing more background research on you, but since you said the CO said you were approved, they are probably just getting your documents together to issue your visa. Your visa is not issued until it says issue, which it probably will by tomorrow.

Did you get your loomis waybill number yet? Could be an issue with the government shut down as well.

BUT... GRATS!!! YAY!!!

Hi! I had my interview last friday, the 27th and I still haven't heard anything back... When i check my status this is what is says:

U.S. Department of State
NONIMMIGRANT VISA APPLICATION
Ready
Application ID or Case Number: Case Creation Date: 27-Sep-2013 Status Updated Date: 02-Oct-2013
Your case is open and ready for your interview, fingerprints, and required documents. If you have already had your interview, please check your status after two business days.
Has anyone else seen this? Or knows what it means? It seems odd since I've had my interview already :/
