I am here on an F1 Visa and I have just married a U.S. citizen. I am continuing to go to school to finish my Masters degree. My husband lives 6 hours away from me but in the same state, Florida. We have known eachother for 3 years. I have read that having two different addresses will cause the interviewing officer to suspect our marriage as fraud. We have been driving back and forth for 9 months now, before we got married. But because of my husband's work, and because he owns a home, our plan is for me to finish school in the apartment we rented and then move to the city where he lives once I graduate. Meanwhile we have two different addresses, but we see each other regularly. Does anyone have a similar situation, and was it a problem with your AOS?

My wife and I had similar situation like this. I had to move to a different state for a new job immediately after we got married. My wife who was in H1B couldn't quit her job and move as she would become out of status. So when we filled for her AOS we had 2 different addresses. But, we submitted itineraries of our visits, pictures, joint lease in our new place, and all the other tax and financial documents. In the interview, the interviewer saw the 2 address and she herself said that she understood the situation and that it is not a problem as we had all the evidence.

Everything went smooth and got approved on the spot.

Keep any receipts related to visiting eachother and the travel you use to do so (ie. train tickets, gas receipts, place tickets etc). LIke someone mentioned take pictures of things you guys do together when you visit eachother. Also, another suggestion is for the visiting person to use their credit or bank card during their stay... just more support showing that you guys do visit and spend time with one another. Lots of people in this situation so it shouldn't be a problem as long as you have some evidence. Good luck!
