Form I-864

Hi VJ Friends,

I received an email from NVC a couple of weeks ago. The email states my total income tax amount on the I-864 was enterred incorrectly as it does not match my 2012 taxes.

Come to find out, yes, my lawyer's assistant enterred this amount incorrectly and i was told it would be corrected and sent back to NVC asap.

Today, two weeks later, i emailed the assistant to find out exactly what date she had resent the I-864 with the correction. Her response was it had been returned as apparantly there has been an update to the form and it needs to be filled out differently. Does anyone know if this is true? Has anyone come across this problem with this form?

I am just getting frustrated and anxious to receive and know my husbands interview date. It's seems the closer we are, the further it seems.

If you check the USCIS website under the forms tab you'll find the current edition of all forms. The latest version of the I-864 is 03/22/13. Was your original I-864 sent before that? If so, the assistant probably used the same form to make the correction but it's now outdated.
