1-130 required documents to sponsor parents

I'm planning to sponsor my parents to bring them to the US and for the mother, they require a birth certificate that contains my name as well as hers. Unfortunately, they only have a birth certificate that contains my name and my father's name on it since he was the one who reported. I also have a family relationship document that proves my mother is indeed my biological mother. Would these two documents suffice the requirement even if the birth certificate specifically doesn't contain her name?

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

It sounds good, but it will all depend on the COnat the embassy if documents are sufficient. You can apply for an international birth certificate at your local civil registry office. This standard document has both parents listed in it.

It's amazing how many questions can be resolved with a 2 minute Google search...

Thanks Mark. I'm a naturalized citizen (just recently obtained a citizenship) so I'm not sure how I can apply for an international birth certificate at a local office. Do you know the specific steps in applying for an international birth certificate that would show both my parents' names?

Also, does anyone know if these kind of questions can be asked directly to USCIS? I couldn't tell if they allow such questions to be asked by email or phone. Thanks everyone!

The international birth certificate has to be issued by governing authority in the country you were born in. Check their website.
