Well they canceled my Oct. 2 interview, forcing us to reschedule, and another Vjer's Oct. 3 interview. So something is up. I just hope it doesn't mean new management or result in newer, stricter approval policies.

Hmm, I wonder what's up. Sorry to hear that you and another VJ'er got rescheduled. Good luck on your upcoming interview though! :)

There is a cat 5 super typhoon sitting to the north of Luzon. It's not tracking this way but we will get hit with some decent rain. Maybe they are just being cautious?

Yeah, I'm now worried about this. It's the most powerful storm of the world in 2013 and passing between Taiwan and Philly on Saturday, putting my flight to Manila on Sunday night and our interview Wednesday both in jeopardy.

Oh no! I hope it does leave PAR by Saturday evening then! Good luck and be safe on your flight!

Well my flight has not been canceled and I don't think it will be, seeing it will be well out of range from my Tokyo to Manila leg on Sunday evening. What worries me is the possible flooding in Metro Manila afterwards, starting on Sunday. The typhoon that hit last month was also from the same distance (and weaker) and that was coupled with a monsoon already present, just like this one will be.

No, I don't think the closure yesterday was due to weather. Not only hadn't the typhoon hit yet, they made that announcement several days ago, well before the typhoon was known about. This one developed as super fast as it is strong.

They will undoubtedly close early next week if there is flooding however.

FYI, it's 1055am here in Angeles and the weather isn't bad. The typhoon is passing to the north. Haven't seen any rain or wind as of yet. Hopefully you're in the clean Leon.

Thanks. :) I'm holding my breath on this. Mylen will be keeping me posted the best she can while I'm flying tomorrow.

Ya that is what I hear from family in Taguig, just some wind, no serious rain.
