Hi everyone.

To those who included chat logs as evidence in their I-130 application, how did you present them? Did you just copy/paste everything or did you use screenshots?

My husband and I rarely chatted as in type stuff out on Skype. We'd be on a video call for hours though and we just took screenshots of each other. On Facebook however we have like 3k messages exchanged but I'm not sure if I should just screenshot excerpts or copy/paste them to MS Word then just label it as Facebook chat logs.

I was just thinking that screenshots would seem more "legit" but copy/paste would save more paper and ink lol.

I did screenshots. But only one or two samples per month. Just to prove that the communication is constant..

For skype, screenshot of the call logs.. Hehe.

Thanks! We have screenshots of actual calls, I didn't really think about adding shots of the call logs too. Kinda annoying to have to dig up two+ years worth of online correspondences lol but it's something we have to do.

I copied and pasted the call logs into a word document. You can also do that with screen shots. Why not include both screen shots of the chat log and Facebook? Front loading never hurts.

Hey,

You can log in to your account with the service provider you are using (att, sprint, verizon.......) and print out all the calls and texts logs. it will show just the number of the sender so you have to go through the papers and highlight your husban's number with a yellow marker.

Mostly for the proof they used to show the marriage certificate and the photos (husband and wife taken together) will sound more than the chat logs. Better you can submit that as a prrof of your marraige. It'll be 100% safe than using other type of proofs.

The call logs using our phones I was planning on just showing them my phone bill since all my calls appear there.

Yeah I was thinking of just sending in our marriage certificate and photos but honestly, I don't like getting my photos taken so we don't have a lot. We don't go out much, we just stay at home watch movies or sports so there's really not a whole lot of eventful happenings going on. We're pretty low-key people.
